Dishwasher beeps and shows F2E1; buttons may seem stuck or unresponsive; some keys may appear to be always pressed.

Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker before disassembling the door.

• Clean the keypad surface: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. Sticky residue can cause keys to stick.
• Power cycle: Turn off power for 5 minutes, then restore and see if the error clears.
• Inspect behind the console: Remove the inner door screws and gently separate the console. Check for moisture, soap residue, or food particles around the keypad area. Clean and dry carefully.
• Check console alignment: Ensure the plastic console is not warped or overtightened, which can press on the touchpad. When reinstalling, tighten screws evenly and do not overtighten.
• Replace keypad/UI: If the same key appears stuck or the error returns, replace the user interface / keypad assembly with the correct Whirlpool part.
