Possible Causes
Closed or faulty water stop valve, Blocked or kinked inlet hose, Defective water inlet valve on machine, Low mains water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the dishwasher at the mains isolator and close the water supply stop valve before working on the machine.
- Check water supply: Ensure the building stop valve feeding the Winterhalter dishwasher is fully open. Confirm other taps in the area have normal pressure.
- Inspect inlet hose: Pull the machine forward if possible and check the blue/grey water inlet hose for kinks, crushing, or sharp bends. Straighten or reroute as needed.
- Clean inlet filter: Close the stop valve, unscrew the hose from the valve, and remove the small mesh filter in the hose connection. Rinse under running water and reinstall.
- Check for leaks in Aquastop hose (if fitted): If the hose has an integrated Aquastop box, feel for water inside the plastic housing. If it has tripped, the hose assembly must be replaced.
- Test fill: Reconnect the hose, open the stop valve, restore power, and start a program. If E1 reappears, the internal water inlet valve or flow meter may be defective and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
