Possible Causes
Blocked drain pump impeller, Clogged tank filter or drain strainer, Obstructed or kinked drain hose, Failed drain pump motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow hot water to cool before reaching into the tank.
- Clean filters: Open the door, remove the rack, and take out the coarse and fine filters from the tank. Rinse thoroughly under running water.
- Check drain opening: Inspect the drain sump for broken glass, food debris, or foreign objects. Carefully remove any obstructions.
- Inspect drain hose: Check that the drain hose is not kinked, crushed, or installed too high above the machine (follow Winterhalter height guidelines). Straighten or re-route as needed.
- Test drain: Restore power and run a drain or short program. Listen for the drain pump. If it hums but does not move water, the impeller may be jammed or the pump faulty and should be replaced.
