Possible Causes
Blocked level sensor or pressure hose, Stuck water inlet valve, Faulty level switch or pressure sensor, Control board not closing inlet valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water supply. Mop up any spilled water to prevent slipping.
- Check tank level: Open the door and visually inspect the water level. It should be just above the filter. If much higher, drain the machine manually using the drain program or by carefully removing water with a container.
- Clean level sensor area: Remove filters and inspect the level sensor/pressure chamber area (usually in the sump). Clean out grease, food soil, and limescale.
- Inspect pressure hose: If accessible, check the small hose from the sump to the pressure switch for blockages or kinks. Rinse or replace if clogged.
- Monitor refill: Restore power and run a fill. If water continues to enter even when the machine is off or full, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced immediately.
