Possible Causes
Glass shards or bones in drain pump, Loose cutlery hitting spray arms, Worn circulation pump bearings, Debris in spray arms
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the dishwasher before reaching inside or accessing the base.
- Check interior: Remove loose items, ensure cutlery is properly placed in the basket and not protruding through.
- Inspect spray arms: Spin them by hand and listen for scraping. Remove any objects causing interference.
- Clean pump area: Remove filters and inspect the sump. If you see glass or hard objects, carefully remove them. Access the drain pump from below if necessary to clear the impeller.
- Persistent noise: If noise continues and seems to come from the motor, the circulation pump bearings may be worn and the pump should be replaced.
