Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Moisture in control panel, Faulty user interface PCB, Damaged main control board communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dishwasher from mains power before removing the door panel.
- Dry out panel: If the control panel feels damp or has been exposed to steam, leave the door open and allow it to dry for several hours.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the inner door panel to access the user interface board. Check that the flat ribbon cable is fully seated at both ends and not damaged.
- Check for corrosion: Look for green or white deposits on connectors indicating moisture damage. Clean gently with contact cleaner if minor.
- Component replacement: If the UI board is visibly damaged or buttons do not respond even after drying and reseating cables, the user interface PCB may need replacement. If a new UI does not resolve it, the main board may be at fault.
