Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker, Loose power cord connection in junction box, Faulty door switch not allowing power to control, Failed main control board power supply section
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Before opening any panels, turn off the circuit breaker. Verify power is off with a non-contact voltage tester.
- Check household breaker: Reset the dishwasher’s breaker and ensure it holds. If it trips again immediately, stop and consult an electrician.
- Inspect junction box: Remove the toe-kick panel and open the electrical junction box. Confirm wire nuts are tight and no wires are burnt or loose.
- Test outlet/line voltage: If the dishwasher uses a plug, test the outlet with another appliance. For hardwired units, measure voltage at the junction box (only if you are qualified).
- Check door switch: Access the door lock assembly and test the door switch for continuity when the door is closed. Replace if open.
- Evaluate main control board: If line voltage is present but the control is dead, the main PCB may have failed and require replacement.
