Possible Causes
Faulty touch control panel, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Moisture behind control panel, Damaged user interface PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the door panel.
- Dry the control area: If steam or moisture has entered the control panel, allow the door to remain open and dry for several hours. Use a fan to speed drying.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the inner door panel and locate the flat ribbon cable from the user interface to the main control. Ensure it is fully inserted and not damaged.
- Clean contacts: If accessible, gently clean the ribbon contacts with isopropyl alcohol and reinsert.
- Check for cracks: Examine the touch panel PCB for cracks or burnt components. Replace the user interface assembly if damaged.
- Reassemble and test: Restore power and test all buttons. If E11 persists, the main control board may also need evaluation.
