Possible Causes
Residual water in base from previous leak, Stuck base float switch, Minor seep from hose clamp or pump seal, Excessive suds overflowing into base
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water. Avoid tipping the unit if there is significant water inside.
- Check for suds: If dish soap or non-dishwasher detergent was used, excessive suds may have overflowed. Run a rinse cycle (after clearing the error) with a small amount of cooking oil to break down suds.
- Dry the base: Pull the dishwasher out and remove the bottom panel. Use towels or a wet/dry vacuum to remove all water from the base pan.
- Inspect float switch: Locate the base float and switch. Ensure the float moves freely and is not stuck by debris or scale. Clean and test movement.
- Check for slow leaks: Run a short cycle while observing the base for drips from hoses, pump seals, or the sump. Tighten clamps or replace seals as needed.
- Reset error: Once the base is dry and the leak is corrected, restore power and test operation.
