Possible Causes
Debris lodged in inlet valve seat, Failed inlet valve solenoid not closing, Incorrect water pressure causing valve to leak through, Control board stuck powering valve (less common)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately turn off the water supply and disconnect power to prevent flooding.
- Observe for trickle: With power off and door open, check if water continues to enter the tub. Any flow indicates a mechanically stuck valve.
- Inspect inlet valve: Remove the lower front panel and locate the water inlet valve. Disconnect the inlet hose and outlet line, then inspect for debris in the valve body.
- Replace valve: In most cases, a stuck-open valve must be replaced. Install a new Zline-compatible water inlet valve and use new sealing washers.
- Check control output: After replacement, verify that the valve only receives power during fill. If it is energized at the wrong times, the main control board may be faulty.
