Possible Causes
Faulty flow meter, Blocked or restricted inlet path before flow meter, Air in the water line causing erratic readings, Wiring fault between flow meter and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water supply before disassembling the inlet system.
- Bleed air from line: Run hot water at the sink to purge air from the plumbing before starting the dishwasher.
- Inspect inlet path: Remove the inlet hose and check for debris at the connection and any integrated flow meter assembly. Clean screens and ensure full flow.
- Check flow meter connections: Locate the flow meter (often integrated into the inlet assembly). Ensure the electrical connector is secure and wires are not pinched or damaged.
- Replace flow meter: If water supply and inlet valve are good but E7 persists, replace the flow meter with the correct Zline part.
- Control board check: If a new flow meter does not resolve the issue, the main control board may not be reading the signal correctly and could require replacement by a qualified technician.
