Possible Causes
Failed drive motor, Seized drum or blower, Broken or jammed belt, Faulty motor start winding
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before opening any panels.
- Check drum rotation: Open the door and try to rotate the drum by hand. If it is very hard to turn, inspect for jammed items or seized rollers.
- Inspect belt: Remove the front or rear panel to view the belt. Replace if broken or off the pulleys.
- Check blower wheel: Ensure the blower wheel is not jammed with debris.
- Test motor: If the drum and blower move freely, test the motor windings with a multimeter. Replace the motor if windings are open or if the motor hums but will not start.
