Possible Causes
Obstructed blower wheel, Broken blower wheel hub, Failed blower motor (on models with separate blower motor), Loose blower housing wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing the blower housing. Internal edges can be sharp.
- Access blower housing: Remove the front or rear panel (depending on model) to reach the blower housing.
- Inspect for obstructions: Remove lint clumps, socks, or other debris from the blower wheel and housing.
- Check blower wheel: Try to spin the blower wheel by hand. It should turn freely without wobble. If the hub is stripped and the wheel spins on the motor shaft, replace the blower wheel.
- Test blower motor (if separate): On models with a separate blower motor, test for proper voltage and continuity. Replace if defective.
- Reassemble and test: Reinstall panels, restore power, and run a cycle to verify the F9 code is cleared.
