Possible Causes
Worn tact switches, Cracked PCB tracks on control panel, Moisture ingress into panel, Loose ribbon cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control panel.
- Check for child lock: Ensure that a child lock function is not preventing button operation.
- Clean around buttons: Wipe the panel surface with a slightly damp cloth (no solvents) to remove dirt that may affect touch sensitivity.
- Access control panel: Remove the top cover and gently unclip the control panel. Inspect the ribbon cable and connectors for secure fit.
- Inspect PCB: Look for signs of corrosion or cracked solder joints around the affected buttons. If multiple buttons fail, replacing the entire control panel PCB is often the most reliable solution.
