Possible Causes

Full condensate water tank, Blocked condensate level sensor, Faulty float switch in water tank, Blocked condensate hose to tank

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off and unplug the dryer before removing panels or hoses.

  • Empty the water tank: Pull out the condensate water tank (usually at the top-left or bottom-right of the dryer). Empty it completely and rinse with warm water to remove detergent residue.
  • Clean the float and sensor area: Inside the tank, locate the plastic float. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck by limescale or lint. Clean with warm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly.
  • Check the condensate hose: If your Amica dryer has a direct drain hose option, inspect the hose for kinks or blockages. Flush it with warm water to clear any lint buildup.
  • Inspect the tank sensor contacts: On some models, metal contacts or a small sensor are located where the tank slides in. Wipe these contacts with a dry cloth. Ensure the tank is fully seated when reinserted.
  • Test operation: Reinsert the tank firmly, plug the dryer back in, and start a short program. If E02 returns even with an empty, clean tank, the level sensor or float switch assembly may need replacement.
