Dryer powers on but will not start cycle when Start button is pressed

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control panel.

• Check display messages: Look for child lock or door warnings. Disable child lock according to the user manual.
• Confirm door closure: Ensure the door is firmly shut and the latch engages. Replace worn catches.
• Test Start button: Try pressing Start firmly and repeatedly. If it feels loose or unresponsive, the switch may be faulty.
• Inspect control fascia: Remove the control panel and check the Start switch or touchpad connections. Replace the user interface board if the switch has failed.
