Dryer displays E01 and will not start or stops shortly after starting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing the door lock or control board.

• Check door and latch: Confirm the door closes firmly and the latch engages correctly. Replace any broken plastic parts.
• Inspect door lock: Access the door lock from behind the front panel or door seal. Check for loose connectors or signs of overheating.
• Wiring continuity: A technician can test continuity from the lock to the control board. Repair or replace any damaged harness sections.
• Replace lock: If the lock is not operating reliably, install a new Ariston door interlock assembly.
