Possible Causes
Blocked condenser water pump, Float switch stuck due to lint and sludge, Blocked condensate channel or tank sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from mains. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination; keep the area dry.
- Empty water tank: If your Ariston condenser dryer has a removable water tank, slide it out and empty it completely. Rinse to remove lint residue.
- Clean condenser unit: Open the condenser access flap, remove the condenser, and rinse it thoroughly under running water to clear lint and sludge. Allow it to drain before refitting.
- Check pump area: On models with a bottom pump, remove the lower front panel or kick strip. Inspect the pump reservoir for lint, coins, or debris blocking the float or pump inlet. Clean carefully.
- Float switch movement: Gently move the float up and down to ensure it is free and not stuck. Clean any residue that may cause sticking.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the condenser, water tank, and panels. Restore power and run a short cycle to see if F05 clears.
- When to call a technician: If the pump does not run or F05 returns, the condensate pump or level sensor may need replacement.
