Possible Causes
Loose harness between display board and main PCB, Faulty touchpad or rotary selector, Moisture ingress into control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control panel or top cover.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. Sometimes F06 is triggered by a transient communication error.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the top cover and gently release the control fascia. Check for signs of moisture, detergent residue, or corrosion on the display board and connectors.
- Check wiring harness: Follow the ribbon cable or harness from the user interface board to the main control board. Ensure connectors are fully seated and not damaged.
- Dry out moisture: If condensation or moisture is present, allow the panel to dry completely in a warm, dry environment before reassembly. Do not use direct heat guns on electronics.
- Replace faulty UI board: If buttons remain unresponsive or F06 persists, the user interface PCB or selector switch may need replacement with an Ariston‑compatible part.
