Possible Causes
Open heating element, Failed heater relay on control board, Loose or burnt heater wiring connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Heating components can remain hot; wait until fully cooled.
- Check basic airflow: Clean lint filter and exhaust duct to ensure the heater is not being shut down by overheat protection.
- Access heater assembly: Remove the rear panel to locate the heater housing. Inspect the wiring connectors for signs of overheating or looseness. Reseat all connectors.
- Visual inspection of element: Look through the heater housing slots for broken or burnt heater coils. A visibly broken coil indicates the element must be replaced.
- Replace heater unit: On many Ariston models, the heater comes as a complete assembly. Disconnect wiring, remove mounting screws, swap in the new heater, and reconnect wires exactly as before.
- When to call a technician: If the heater tests good but F07 persists, the heater relay or control board is likely faulty and requires professional service.
