Dryer will not start or behaves erratically, F09 displayed

Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from mains before accessing internal components.

• Power cycle: Unplug the dryer for at least 10 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge and the control to fully reset. Reconnect and test.
• Check supply stability: Ensure the dryer is connected to a stable power source, not a loose extension lead or shared outlet that may cause voltage drops.
• Factory reset (if available): Some Ariston models allow a service reset via a button combination (refer to service documentation). Only perform if you know the correct procedure.
• Board replacement: If F09 persists, the control board’s memory is likely corrupted. Replacement of the main PCB is usually required and should be done by a qualified technician.
