Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing rear panels or internal ducts.

• Clean lint filter: Remove the main lint filter and clean it thoroughly under running water if coated with fabric softener residue. Dry completely before refitting.
• Inspect filter housing: Use a vacuum with a narrow nozzle to remove lint from the filter housing and internal channel.
• Check exhaust duct: For vented models, disconnect the exhaust hose and clean it end‑to‑end. Ensure the wall vent flap moves freely.
• Reset warning: After cleaning, run a short cycle. The filter warning should clear automatically on most Ariston models.
