Heat pump dryer shows H01 and does not start or stops early

Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Heat pump components can be sharp and may contain refrigerant; do not damage sealed parts.

• Clean filters and condenser: Remove and clean the main lint filter and any secondary filters. Access the heat exchanger/condenser and clean thoroughly with a soft brush and vacuum.
• Check ambient conditions: Ensure the dryer is installed in a room within the recommended temperature range; very cold rooms can trigger heat pump errors.
• Inspect sensors and wiring: Locate the heat pump NTC sensors on the evaporator and condenser. Check connectors and wiring for damage and reseat them.
• When to call a technician: If H01 persists after cleaning and checks, the heat pump circuit (compressor, sensors, or refrigerant charge) may be faulty and requires professional service.
