Dryer door is difficult to open or does not stay closed properly during operation.

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before adjusting hinges or replacing latches.

• Inspect latch and strike:
  • Check the plastic or metal catch on the door and the strike on the cabinet.
  • Replace worn or broken parts.
• Hinge adjustment: Tighten hinge screws; if the door sags, adjust or replace hinges.
• Seal check: Ensure the door gasket is not folded or obstructing closure.

Note: A door that does not close securely can cause intermittent stopping and poor drying.
