Possible Causes

Faulty Start button, Door not properly closed, Defective door switch, Child lock function activated

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing the control panel or door switch.

  • Check user settings:
    • Ensure the child lock is not active (refer to user manual for unlocking procedure).
    • Confirm a valid program is selected and the time is not set to zero.
  • Door closure: Close the door firmly until it clicks; check for obstructions around the seal.
  • Door switch test: Press the door switch manually with the door open; if the display does not react, the switch may be faulty.
  • Start button: If other buttons respond but Start does not, the button or UI board may be defective and require replacement.

Note: Some models require pressing and holding Start for a second or two; check the user manual.
