Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked condenser unit, Obstructed exhaust duct, Dirty moisture sensor bars
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the dryer before deep cleaning.
- Clean lint filter: Remove lint after every cycle; wash the filter with warm water and mild detergent if it appears coated.
- Clean condenser (if applicable): Remove and rinse the condenser under running water until clear; allow to drain and dry.
- Check exhaust duct (vented models):
- Disconnect the hose from the back of the dryer.
- Remove lint and debris from the hose and wall vent.
- Straighten any kinks or crushed sections.
- Clean moisture sensor bars: Wipe the metal bars inside the drum with a cloth and vinegar to remove residues that can affect sensing.
- Load and program: Avoid overloading and select an appropriate dryness level; test with a medium load.
Note: If drying remains poor after thorough cleaning, the heater or heat pump system may require professional diagnosis.
