Possible Causes
Defective outlet NTC sensor, Blocked condenser or lint filter, Wiring fault between sensor and control board, Overheating due to poor ventilation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening any panels.
- Clean all airflow components:
- Remove and wash the lint filter.
- On condenser and heat pump models, remove the condenser unit and rinse it thoroughly with water, allowing it to dry.
- Check the air intake and exhaust grilles for obstructions.
- Locate the outlet NTC:
- Access the front or rear air duct (model dependent).
- Find the NTC sensor clipped into the duct near the outlet side.
- Inspect for lint buildup covering the sensor tip; clean gently with a soft brush.
- Check wiring: Ensure the sensor connector is firmly seated and that the cable is not pinched or damaged.
- Test sensor (if possible): Measure resistance at room temperature and compare with service data; replace if open, shorted, or far out of range.
- Ventilation check: Ensure the dryer has adequate clearance from walls and that ambient temperature is within the specified range.
Warning: Persistent F05 after cleaning and sensor replacement may indicate a control board fault; professional diagnosis is recommended.
