Dryer does not start or stops with F06; sometimes accompanied by beeping.

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before working on the door assembly.

• Check door closure:
  • Ensure the door closes firmly and the latch engages with a clear click.
  • Inspect the plastic door catch for cracks or wear.
• Test door switch:
  • Locate the door switch behind the front panel near the latch.
  • Press the switch actuator by hand; it should move freely and click.
  • If you have a multimeter, test for continuity when the switch is pressed.
• Adjust or replace:
  • If the door is sagging, adjust the hinges or tighten hinge screws.
  • Replace a worn door catch or faulty door switch with a Bauknecht-compatible part.
• Wiring check: Confirm the switch connector is fully seated and wires are not broken or pinched.

Warning: Never bypass the door switch; operating the dryer with the door interlock defeated is unsafe.
