How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the door lock assembly.

Inspect door hardware:
- Check the door strike (metal or plastic piece on the door) for damage.
- Ensure the door closes evenly and is not warped.
Access door lock:
- Remove the front panel or door seal clamp (depending on design).
- Locate the door lock assembly on the cabinet front.
Check connections: Verify the lock connector is fully seated and wires are intact.
Replace lock: If the lock shows signs of burning, mechanical failure, or tests open with a multimeter, replace it with a Bauknecht-compatible door lock assembly.
Re-test: After reassembly, check that the door closes firmly and the F22 code is cleared.

Warning: Do not force the door closed; this can damage the hinges and lock.

Dryer shows F22 and may not start or may stop with door-related beeps.
