Possible Causes
Blocked condensate pump, Stuck float switch in condensate tray, Kinked or blocked drain hose to water tank, Failed condensate pump motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.
- Empty water tank: Remove and empty the condensate water tank; ensure it is correctly seated when reinserted.
- Clean float and tray:
- Access the condensate tray (usually behind the lower front panel).
- Clean any lint or sludge that may block the float or pump inlet.
- Check drain hose: Ensure the hose from the tray to the tank is not kinked or blocked; flush with water if necessary.
- Test pump (if accessible):
- Listen for the pump running briefly at the start or end of a cycle.
- If silent and wiring is intact, the pump motor may be defective and require replacement.
Warning: Do not operate the dryer if water is leaking inside the cabinet; this can damage electronics and create shock risk.
