Possible Causes
Child lock function enabled, Program not confirmed correctly, Faulty Start button contact, Software glitch in user interface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Although this is usually a control issue, unplug the dryer if you need to remove the control panel.
Non-start with beeping often indicates a user interface lockout.
- Check for child lock: Look for a key or lock symbol on the display. Disable child lock by holding the specified button combination (refer to the user manual; often pressing and holding two buttons for several seconds).
- Confirm program selection: Turn the program knob to a valid cycle and press Start firmly for a full second.
- Power reset: Unplug the dryer for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try again.
- Inspect Start button: If the button feels loose or does not click, the switch may be faulty. Access the control panel and test the switch for continuity when pressed. Replace the user interface board if necessary.
