Possible Causes
Blocked condensate drain hose, Cracked or mis-seated water tank, Leaking pump or sump seal, Loose internal hose connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer and mop up any standing water to prevent slipping.
Water leaks on condenser/heat pump dryers are usually drainage-related.
- Check water tank: Remove the tank, empty it, and inspect for cracks. Ensure the tank seats fully when reinserted.
- Inspect external drain hose (if used): Ensure the hose is not kinked, blocked, or inserted too far into a standpipe (which can cause siphoning). Clear any obstructions.
- Clean internal drain path: Remove the lower front panel and inspect the sump and pump area. Clear lint and debris from the sump and pump inlet.
- Check internal hoses: Look for loose or cracked hoses between the sump, pump, and tank connection. Tighten clamps and replace damaged hoses.
- Test for leaks: Run a short cycle while observing the pump area. If water seeps from the pump body or seals, replace the condensate pump assembly.
