Dryer will not power on; no lights or display, completely dead.

Safety first: Before opening the dryer, verify the outlet is de-energized when you switch off the breaker.

A dead dryer usually indicates a supply or internal power problem.

• Check household power: Test the outlet with another appliance or a multimeter. Reset any tripped breakers and replace blown fuses.
• Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or loose connections at the terminal block inside the dryer. Tighten terminal screws and replace a damaged cord.
• Check line filter / interference suppressor: Many Blomberg dryers have a small filter module where the cord enters. Test for continuity through the filter. Replace if open or burned.
• Examine main control board: If power reaches the board but there is no display or response, the board's low-voltage power supply may have failed. Look for burnt components. Replacement of the board is usually required.
