Dryer will not start at all; no drum movement, but control panel lights up.

If the panel responds but the drum never starts, the start circuit or safety chain is open.

• Check door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and latches with a click. Try pressing firmly on the door while pressing Start.
• Test door interlock: Access the door lock assembly and test it with a multimeter for proper continuity when the door is closed. Replace if faulty.
• Check thermal fuse in motor circuit: Some Blomberg dryers have a thermal fuse in series with the motor. Test for continuity and replace if open, after addressing any overheating cause.
• Inspect Start button and user interface: If the Start button feels loose or unresponsive, the switch or interface board may be defective. Test continuity of the switch if accessible.
• Control board relay: If all safety devices are good, the motor relay on the main control may not be energizing. This typically requires control board replacement by a technician.
