Blomberg
Moisture Sensor / Conductivity Sensor Fault
Dryer stops and displays E06; may occur early in the cycle, often on sensor-dry programs.

Possible Causes
Dirty or coated moisture sensor bars, Broken moisture sensor wiring, Faulty moisture sensor module, Defective main control moisture sensing circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working inside the drum or control area.
E06 is related to the moisture sensing system used for automatic drying.
- Locate the moisture sensor bars: Inside the drum, usually near the lint filter opening, there are two metal strips or bars.
- Clean the sensor bars: Residue from dryer sheets and fabric softeners can insulate the bars. Scrub them with a cloth dampened with white vinegar or mild detergent. For stubborn buildup, use a non-scratch scouring pad. Dry thoroughly.
- Check wiring to the sensor: Access the area behind the front panel where the sensor bars connect. Ensure the wires are firmly attached and not broken or corroded.
- Inspect the sensor module (if separate): Some Blomberg models use a small PCB for moisture sensing. Look for burned components or cracked solder joints. Replace the module if visibly damaged.
- Test operation: Reassemble, restore power, and run a sensor-dry cycle with a small load of damp towels. If E06 returns after cleaning and wiring checks, the main control board may not be processing the sensor signal correctly and may need replacement.
