Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Worn idler pulley, Seized drum rollers, Stripped motor pulley
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer.
- Check drum movement: Open the door and try to rotate the drum by hand. If it spins very freely with little resistance, the belt may be broken.
- Inspect belt: Remove the top and front panels to view the belt around the drum. Replace if broken or heavily worn.
- Check idler pulley and rollers: Spin each by hand; replace any that are noisy, wobbly, or seized.
Install the new belt following the Bosch belt routing pattern around the motor pulley and idler.
