Possible Causes
Worn drum rollers, Dry or worn rear drum bearing, Worn idler pulley, Foreign object in drum glide area
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before disassembly.
- Isolate noise: Run the dryer briefly (with power) to identify if noise occurs only when drum turns. Then unplug.
- Inspect rollers and idler: Remove front panel and drum. Check drum rollers and idler pulley for flat spots, wobble, or rough rotation. Replace as a set if worn.
- Check rear bearing (if equipped): Inspect the rear drum support bearing for scoring or looseness. Replace bearing kit if worn.
Lubricate only where Bosch specifies (some bearings are self-lubricating and should not be greased).
