Safety first: Unplug the dryer and turn off the breaker before servicing.

Confirm symptom: Run a timed cycle for 5–10 minutes. Open the door and feel inside; if the drum is not warm, proceed with heater checks.
Access heater assembly: Remove the rear panel to reach the heater housing and thermostats.
Test thermal fuse and thermostats: Use a multimeter to check for continuity. Replace any open devices and clean lint to prevent recurrence.
Test heating element: Measure resistance across the element. Replace if open or shorted to ground.

If all heater components test good, the heater relay or main control board may be defective and should be evaluated by a technician.
