Possible Causes
Defective door switch, Blown thermal fuse, Failed start button or user interface, Faulty main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before testing components.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and latches with a click. Try holding the door firmly while pressing Start.
- Test door switch: Access the door switch and test for continuity when the door is closed. Replace if faulty.
- Check thermal fuse: Locate the thermal fuse on the blower housing or exhaust duct and test for continuity. Replace if open and clean lint paths.
- Test Start button: If accessible, test the Start switch on the control panel for continuity when pressed.
If interlocks and fuses are good, the main control board or user interface may need replacement.
