Possible Causes

Blocked condensate pump, Clogged drain hose, Failed condensate pump motor, Faulty water level sensor or float switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Be prepared for water spillage when opening the base.

  • Check water container: Empty the condensate water tank (if your model has one) and ensure it is seated correctly.
  • Inspect base for water: Remove the lower front panel or side panel to access the base tray. Mop up any standing water.
  • Clean pump and hoses: Locate the condensate pump. Remove and clean the pump filter and hoses to clear lint or debris.
  • Test pump operation: With the dryer reassembled and powered, start a cycle and listen for the pump. If it does not run when water is present, test for voltage at the pump and replace the pump if faulty.

If E13 persists, the water level sensor or float switch may be defective and should be replaced.
