Possible Causes
Shorted moisture sensor, Damaged sensor harness, Faulty sensor electronics module, Control board input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing sensor wiring.
- Clean sensor bars: As with E04, clean the moisture sensor bars inside the drum with alcohol to remove residue.
- Inspect harness: Access the wiring behind the sensor bars and follow it to the control board. Look for pinched, cut, or shorted wires.
- Check for shorts: Use a multimeter to ensure the sensor circuit is not shorted to ground or between conductors when dry.
Replace the moisture sensor assembly or sensor module if a short is found. If wiring and sensor are good, the main control board may be at fault.
