Possible Causes
Faulty motor tachometer sensor, Loose motor connector, Defective drive motor, Control board speed sensing failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing the motor.
- Check drum rotation: Manually rotate the drum to ensure it moves freely.
- Inspect motor wiring: Remove the rear or side panel to access the motor. Check the motor connector and tachometer wiring for secure fit and damage.
- Test tachometer: Some Bosch motors have an integrated tach sensor. Use a multimeter to check for a small AC voltage output when the motor is spun by hand (refer to service data).
If the tachometer or motor is defective, replace the motor assembly. If the motor tests good, the main control board may not be reading the speed signal correctly.
