Possible Causes

Dirty or coated moisture sensor bars, Broken moisture sensor wiring, Faulty moisture sensor module, Defective control board moisture circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any covers. Cleaning the sensor bars can be done with power off and door open.

Steps:

  • 1. Locate moisture sensor bars: On many Brandt dryers, two metal strips are located inside the drum near the lint filter opening or on the front bulkhead.
  • 2. Clean the sensor bars: Residue from fabric softeners can insulate the bars. Use a soft cloth with a bit of white vinegar or mild detergent to scrub the bars until shiny. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry.
  • 3. Check wiring: From the backside of the front panel, locate the moisture sensor connectors and ensure they are firmly attached and not corroded or broken.
  • 4. Test operation: Reconnect power and run an automatic program with a small load. If E07 persists, the sensor assembly or control board may need replacement.

Note: You can often still use timed programs if the moisture sensor system is faulty, but this is only a temporary workaround.
