Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. The heat pump system contains high-pressure refrigerant; do not open the sealed system yourself.
User-level checks:
- 1. Clean heat exchangers: Remove and clean the front condenser/heat exchanger filter. If the model has a fixed heat exchanger, vacuum dust from the fins carefully without bending them.
- 2. Ensure ambient conditions: Heat pump dryers work best in rooms above ~10°C. Very cold rooms can trigger errors.
- 3. Listen for compressor: During operation, you should hear the compressor start after a few minutes (low humming). If it never starts, there may be an electrical or compressor fault.
Technician-level: Diagnosis of compressor, refrigerant charge, and sealed system components must be done by a certified refrigeration technician. If cleaning and ambient checks do not clear E10, schedule service.
