Possible Causes
Blocked water level sensor or float in tank housing, Faulty water level switch, Failed drain pump (condenser/heat pump models), Kinked or blocked internal drain hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the tank or accessing internal components.
Steps:
- 1. Check water tank: Remove the condensate tank and empty it completely. Rinse it to remove detergent or limescale deposits. Ensure it slides fully into place and actuates any internal switch.
- 2. Clean float and housing: In the tank compartment, locate the float or level sensor area. Remove lint and debris. Make sure the float moves freely.
- 3. Test drain pump operation: Start a cycle and listen for the pump (short buzzing/humming) when the dryer should be pumping water (you may need to temporarily reconnect power for this test; exercise caution and avoid exposed live parts).
- 4. Inspect internal hoses: With power disconnected again, remove the side or rear panel and trace the small drain hose from the sump to the tank. Clear any kinks or blockages.
Note: If the pump does not run or is noisy and E11 persists, the drain pump or level switch may need replacement.
