Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked exhaust duct or wall outlet (vented models), Severely clogged condenser (condenser models), Blocked internal air channels
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before cleaning internal ducts.
Steps:
- 1. Clean lint filter: Remove and clean the lint filter after every cycle. For heavy buildup, wash with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry completely.
- 2. Check external vent (vented models): Remove the exhaust hose and clean it thoroughly. Inspect the wall vent flap for lint buildup or stuck flap. Ensure air can flow freely.
- 3. Clean condenser (condenser/heat pump models): Remove the condenser unit and rinse under running water until clear. Allow to drain and dry before reinstalling.
- 4. Internal cleaning: Remove rear or side panels and vacuum lint from the blower housing, heater housing, and air channels. Avoid damaging wiring or sensors.
Tip: After cleaning, run a test cycle with a small load. If E12 returns quickly, a sensor or control issue may be present and should be checked by a technician.
