Possible Causes

Water leak from hoses or pump housing, Blocked condensate path causing overflow, Faulty or stuck base float switch, Cracked sump or tank

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.

Steps:

  • 1. Check for visible leaks: Pull the dryer out and inspect underneath and around it for water. Mop up any standing water.
  • 2. Access base tray: Remove the side panel to access the base. If there is a float switch, gently lower the float after drying the tray. Do not force it.
  • 3. Inspect hoses and pump: Check the condensate pump housing, hoses, and connections for drips or cracks. Tighten clamps and replace cracked hoses.
  • 4. Clean condensate path: Ensure the path from the drum/sump to the tank or drain is not blocked by lint or scale.

Important: If you cannot identify the leak source or if the sump or tank is cracked, contact a technician. Do not operate the dryer with an active leak.
