Bush dryer will not start at all; no lights or display, completely dead.

Safety first: Remove the plug from the socket before inspecting the plug or internal wiring.

• Check wall socket and plug fuse: Test the socket with another appliance. Replace the fuse in the dryer plug with the correct rating if blown.
• Inspect mains cable: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks along the cable. Replace the cable if damaged.
• Check mains filter and terminal block: Remove the rear cover at the cable entry. Ensure all connections are tight and the mains filter is not burnt or cracked.
• Internal safety devices: Some Bush dryers have a thermal fuse in the live feed. Test for continuity and replace if open, after addressing any overheating causes.
