Dryer door will not stay closed or pops open during cycle

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before adjusting hinges or replacing parts.

• Inspect latch and strike: Examine the plastic or metal door strike on the door and the latch mechanism on the front panel. Replace any cracked or worn components.
• Adjust door alignment: Tighten hinge screws and adjust the door so it closes squarely against the front panel.
• Replace latch assembly: Remove the front panel (if necessary) to access and replace the latch assembly with a Café-compatible part.
• Test closure: Close the door and start a cycle to ensure it remains latched throughout operation.
