How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before deep cleaning.
- Air out the drum: Leave the door open between uses to allow the drum to dry.
- Clean drum interior: Wipe the drum with a solution of mild detergent and warm water, then with a mixture of white vinegar and water. Dry thoroughly.
- Clean lint filter housing: Remove the lint filter and vacuum the housing to remove lint and debris.
- Run a hot cycle: Run the dryer empty on high heat for 20–30 minutes to help kill residual odor-causing organisms.
- Improve ventilation: Ensure the exhaust vent is clear and properly installed to prevent moisture buildup.
